Kāpiti has a well-established network of business groups that support connection, collaboration and visibility across the district.

Each network has a slightly different focus, from advocacy and sector representation through to structured networking and referrals.

Connecting across the Coast

Kapiti Chamber In Queenstown

The Kāpiti Coast is a highly connected business community enriched by a number of vibrant and diverse business networks seeking to support businesses.

These networks offer learning and development opportunities, regular events, opportunities to collaborate and importantly, provide links outside of the district with other businesses, education institutions, investment opportunities, and funding channels with central government.

Kāpiti businesses are also connected into the wider Wellington region through the Regional Business Partner Network. This provides access to advice, capability support and funding for businesses looking to grow or develop.

The Kāpiti Coast Economic Development Kotahitanga Board, Kapiti Coast District Council , and business networks such as Te Rōpū Pakihi and Kāpiti Business Chamber, all work closely with Wellington’s regional economic development agency, WellingtonNZ, to support businesses in the district.

WellingtonNZ oversees the Regional Business Partner Network which helps to connect small to medium-sized businesses to the right advice, funding, people, and resources. To get access, businesses must first sign up to the Regional Business Partner Network.
