Kāpiti is a connected place to do business.

Across the district, there are regular opportunities to meet other business owners, hear what’s happening locally, and stay close to the conversations shaping activity across the Coast. 

How to get involved

There are a few different ways to connect, depending on what you’re looking for:

  • Business networks → regular connection, peer support and advocacy
  • Business events → one-off opportunities to learn, meet people and stay informed
  • Regional support → access to advice, funding and capability programmes

Each plays a different role, and most businesses will engage with a mix of all three over time.

Business Networks

Kāpiti has a strong network of business groups across the district.

These range from formal associations through to more structured networking groups, each offering different ways to connect with other businesses, build relationships and stay visible locally.

Business networks can be a useful way to meet other operators, share information, find support and stay connected to what’s happening across the local economy.

Regional Business Support

Kāpiti Coast businesses are also connected into wider regional support through WellingtonNZ and the Regional Business Partner Network.

The Regional Business Partner Network helps eligible small to medium-sized businesses access advice, capability support, funding pathways, people and resources. Businesses need to register with the Regional Business Partner Network before accessing support.

Local business networks, Council, Te Rōpū Pakihi, Kāpiti Business Chamber and WellingtonNZ all play a role in helping businesses find the right support pathway.
