Employment 101 Workshop

Hiring staff is a big step for any business. Whether you’re taking on your first employee, growing your team, or wanting to refresh what you already know, this workshop will help you understand the key things to get right.

Delivered by Star People in partnership with Kāpiti Business Chamber and Business Kāpiti, Employment 101 is a practical session for local business owners and managers who want to feel more confident with recruitment, onboarding and employment responsibilities.

You’ll work through the foundations of employing people, including how to recruit and onboard well, the different types of employment relationships and agreements, and the records and information employers need to keep.

The session will also cover employment best practice, with real-world examples and time for discussion, questions and shared learning with other local businesses.

Spaces are limited and registration is essential.

About Star People
