Want to see how technology is being used in real businesses and what it could look like for yours?

Techweek returns to Kāpiti this year, bringing together founders, businesses, tech professionals and students to explore how technology is being applied now, and where it’s heading.

Across the week, the programme includes ThinkTech Kāpiti, the district’s tech conference featuring a mix of local and national speakers alongside practical workshops. There is also a hands-on session focused on applying AI and digital tools in real business contexts, along with Maker-Space workshops at Paraparaumu Library exploring coding and digital tools for both adults and young people.

The focus isn’t just future thinking. It’s about what’s already happening, and how it can be used in day-to-day business.

We’re seeing more businesses across Kāpiti start to engage with digital tools and new ways of working. This isn’t about large-scale change. It’s about practical improvements, saving time, improving systems, and working more efficiently.

Techweek provides a way to see what others are doing, understand what’s changing, and test what might work in your own business.

What is KāpitiTech?

KāpitiTech is a growing local network focused on connecting people working in, or interested in, technology across the district.

It provides a space for businesses, founders and professionals to share knowledge, explore new ideas, and support each other as the sector continues to develop locally.

Through events like Techweek, workshops and ongoing activity, KāpitiTech is helping build a more connected and practical tech community, one that reflects how technology is actually being used by businesses on the Coast.
