Could your business help create local jobs?
Tradies, contractors, and business owners from across Kāpiti are invited to learn how the Mayors Taskforce for Jobs can help connect them with motivated local young people looking for employment opportunities.
The programme has already helped more than 30 young people into meaningful local jobs, while supporting businesses to build their workforce and develop future talent.
Join us for a free information evening to hear local success stories, explore employment and training pathways, and find out how getting involved can benefit both your business and our community.
There will be networking, light refreshments, and practical information about the support available through the programme.
Please RSVP by 5pm, Friday 19 June.
What is Mayors Taskforce for Jobs?
Mayors Taskforce for Jobs is a nationwide network of New Zealand Mayors working together to support young people into employment, education, training and other positive pathways.
In Kāpiti, the programme supports rangatahi aged 18–24 who are looking to take their next step into mahi. This includes help with work readiness, CVs, interview preparation, driver licensing, training, work gear and direct employment opportunities.
The programme also works closely with local employers to create sustainable job opportunities and provide practical support, such as recruitment help, training subsidies, PPE, and short-course qualifications or licences.
Together, MTFJ helps connect motivated young people with local businesses, creating stronger pathways into work and supporting the future workforce of Kāpiti.
